She founded U-PARTY’s promoter program at age 19 during her studies and has been heavily involved in U-PARTY’s public relations ever since, constantly pushing the company to take new risks and expand their horizons. From directing a subsidiary of the U-PARTY group Sue has now moved full time into the RISE Academy, a project close to her heart.
Craig is a self-made entrepreneur who, at age 32, has never worked a day for any ‘boss’ other than himself. Starting his own DJ Company whilst in high school, Craig morphed this project into a fully-fledged events company, Year 3000 followed by U-PARTY, whose primary goal is to help South African schools fund-raise for better education which he believes will shape the future of SA.

Winner of various awards (as an amateur dancer) including South African Championin 2002 and Dancer of the year title, she has completed her Professional Dance Diploma with the South African Dance Teachers’ Association. Lindy also recently did a teachers’ training course with Pulse New York, a renowned dance school known for its exceptional choreographers (Wade Robson, Robert Hoffman, Mia Michaels, Chris Judd and other top US choreographers).

As the head of RISE’s DJ school, Melanie shares the type of knowledge that can usually only be gained through experience. Melanie, using her own experience, shows our young DJs what the industry is all about and how a successful career as a DJ can be achieved. Our aspiring DJs are very lucky to have this self-made professional as their guide to owning their space in the music industry.
Head of Modelling
Deborah Barnard started modelling at age 15 years. She spent a year living in Paris for modelling and subsequently another year in Japan – these two years showed her how intense the modelling industry truly is and she learnt how much hard work it took to be successful. At age 18 she moved to Cape Town, then the heart of the South African modelling industry, where she was highly successful featuring in editorials and magazine covers for large names such as Cosmopolitan, Fair Lady, Sarie, and Rooi Rose.
