Your first steps behind the decks. You learn to set up the equipment, cue a track and beatmatch two songs, the core skill every DJ builds on, and you get a first look at building your brand.
From first mix to confident DJ. You train your ear for musicality and EQ, master a range of mixing techniques, and start building your brand and following online. You finish with your first practical and business assessments.
From DJ to performer. You add effects, sampling and digital DJ tools, record your own demo and test yourself in a DJ battle. On the business side you learn how to get booked: professionalism, riders, networking, working with agents and pitching for gigs.
Ready for any stage. Workshops put you in real performance situations, from back-to-back sets and live vocals to festival-scale shows, visuals and AI-assisted performance. You also learn how the wider industry works, from labels and copyright to touring and income beyond gigs.
For DJs who can already mix and want to perform at a professional standard. Every level shares the same advanced technical training. The higher levels add the career, industry and real-world experience.
Technical mastery. You learn to perform on any setup, use hot cues, loops and stems to rebuild tracks live, mix harmonically across genres, and scratch. You bring vinyl and external instruments into your sets, then plan, record and review a full showcase performance.
Technical mastery, plus a career. Everything in Practical, plus The Business: building and marketing your brand, working with agents, managers and venues, and landing residencies and gigs. You also test your skills against other DJs in a DJ battle.
A complete, independent DJ artist. Everything in Pro, plus The Experience workshops, where you perform hybrid DJ and live sets, play festival-scale shows and work with visuals, lighting and AI remixing. The Industry chapter shows you how labels, publishing, touring and alternative income really work.
The DJ and the producer in one course. You get the full practical training from both Ultimate DJ and Music Production, so you can make your own tracks and play them in your sets.
Both crafts, plus a career. You learn to DJ from the ground up, all the way to recording your own demo. Alongside that, you learn to produce complete tracks in FL Studio, from the first idea through arrangement, mixing and mastering. The Business and Industry chapters show you how to brand yourself, get booked, and release and earn from your music. You also take part in a live recording session and a DJ battle.
Our most complete DJ programme. Everything in Pro, plus two full sets of Experience workshops. On the DJ side you perform back-to-back, hybrid and festival-scale sets with live vocals, visuals and AI tools. On the production side you record vocals, score music for film, TV and games, produce podcasts and take on remix challenges.
Fees and payment plans are from the 2027 Schedule of Course Fees. Pay the full fee 10 business days before your course starts to qualify for the listed upfront benefits. Monthly payments begin on the first 28th after your course starts. *Student loan estimates include the course fee plus a 5% admin charge, repaid over 48 months at 10% interest. Actual rates and repayments are set by the funder and depend on your credit profile; all finance is subject to approval and terms. A sponsor needs a South African bank account and stable income and acts as surety. RISE Academy does not provide loans or decide on applications.
