A formal qualification for a career in sound. You master sound theory and professional audio equipment, and learn to record, edit, mix and amplify sound for live, recorded and broadcast productions. You also learn to manage projects, resources and logistics. Graduates are prepared for roles from live sound technician to post-production and broadcast sound.

Live Sound

Run the sound at live events. You learn how a sound system works from end to end, from microphones and mixing consoles to amplifiers, speakers and cabling, and how venues, acoustics and indoor or outdoor settings change what the crowd hears. You practise mixing live and troubleshooting under pressure. Through our partner The Live Group, students work on real event setups; past students have worked on shows headlined by Black Coffee and Nasty C.
